In this blog I have listed 5 different tips to help you become a good and valuable role model. People will now look up to you and respect you for what you do. Just don’t forget to follow these tips:

1. Practice your work

What’s the whole point of helping others and looking good if you can’t do your job? Practicing what you do is to help you. Become better (if not awesome) at what you do so others can follow in your footsteps.

2. The Golden Rule (Treat others as you would like to be treated)

This applies for everything. Be polite to others and respect their decision (even if on the inside you are against it). Help people if they are stuck on things, but don’t act like you know everything. Just help them.

Pro tip: You are not in charge. No matter what you think there is always someone more important than you. Don’t act superior in any ways.

3. Handle problems maturely

If something goes wrong or things don’t turn out your way (not getting a bonus/raise) just calm down and fix it. Find a working solution. You will earn respect and people will value you more.

4. Keep Improving

Find out ways you can do things better. Or do your job more efficiently. This will help you with your own personal growth and show others you are capable of doing things better on your own without being asked.

5. Show Gratitude

Thank everyone who helped you do the task. People will like you more if you mention they helped. It will also show you are kind. Most people don’t like it when people take all the credit so showing you DON’T do that makes people happier.
