Everyone has a job. Most people, however, don’t make enough money and wish they could transfer to another job. But because they need experience to get better paying jobs after they leave the first job, they end up stuck. Here are some useful tips to know whether you have a good job or not. Answer these questions to yourself. If they do not have most of these than you should think about a different job opportunity.

  • Does it pay well?

Can you cover your bills and still have some money left over? Or is it not enough? If it is not enough, then you should look for another job option.

  • Is there good benefits included?

Does it have things like health insurance, retirement plans, paid sick days and/or parental leave? If it has some of those things than it is probably a good fit for you

  • Do you enjoy the work?

Is it something boring that you do just to make money or do you actually like waking up to go do your job? It’s ok if you just wake up to get the money but people tend to stay with their jobs if they actually like it.

  • Do you like your work environment?

Is it near you and easy to drive/walk to? Do you like your co-workers? Do the managers and bosses treat their employees well? If all of your answers are yes than you should take the job. The nicer the boss is the better chance you can get a raise.

  • What are the hours like?

Is it super late at night or does your job have a flexible schedule? Can you come in during only the morning or only in the afternoon? If your job is very flexible, then kudos to you. It doesn’t have to necessarily have super flexible hours. It is nice if it does though.
